We continue to celebrate our glorious Easter season this weekend with Jesus proclaiming Himself to be the Good Shepherd. Not only that, we also remember our mothers on their special day on Sunday. PLUS, we celebrate our PSR second graders as they receive their first Holy Communion at the 10:00 AM mass on Sunday! What a terrific weekend to be in church, because God is the source of all great things like these. Last Saturday at the Cathedral Basilica, six of our PSR eighth graders received Confirmation from Bishop Rivituso with Archbishop Rozanski celebrating the beautiful liturgy. To borrow an ad phrase, “…it just doesn’t get any better than this!” Let’s all pray for our young people that the sacraments they receive take firm hold in their lives and enable them to grow in the faith of Jesus and stay practicing the faith in the church community. Let’s also add special prayers for our mothers who have given us life. Congratulations children, and God bless our moms!
