A dime and a quarter are sitting on a bridge.  The dime jumps off but the quarter didn’t…why not?  He had more “cents.”  Get it, cents/sense.  Sorry about that, folks!  There are a ton of jokes around about money, but sadly, at times it is at the center of some pretty serious disputes, especially when it comes to wills and inheritances.  As a priest, I’ve seen several families who have let themselves be torn apart who were once very close and loving, all because of some disputes about money and possessions being handed down.  Very simply put, money is proof of work.  When money is “given” to us, we should be grateful, but we cannot think or act like we’ve earned it ourselves.  This is important because this source of money carries with it much deeper realities of gratitude, honesty, and charity.  I hope this makes cents!
