I want to be a woman. Uh-oh… Fr. Tom has finally lost it! I want to be a woman, but only on some Thursday evenings from, say, 7PM till midnight, because some eating establishments and bars have “ladies nights” on Thursdays and they have less expensive food and drink specials for ladies. After that, I would go back to being a man…until the next Thursday evening, and so on and so on. That’s not so funny nowadays, is it? The absolute truth of the matter is that “God made us male and female.” This is one of those issues where the Truth gets trampled by feelings and political “correctness.” God created all of us out of love and ultimate wisdom, according to His holy will, and for some to tell Him He made a mistake, and that they know what’s best rather than God is pure hubris. “Why did God make me wrong?” Much of this issue is rooted in mental illness, but others see it as being “fashionable” to “transition” from one gender to another. Whatever the case, knowing and living the Truth as only God presents it, is the source for happiness and satisfaction in our earthly lives. Let’s not try to be God, it didn’t work for Adam and Eve, and it won’t work for us either. God bless you.
