Dinner Auction:

I think that it’s pretty safe to say that last Saturday’s 11th Annual Dinner Auction was an unqualified success! From the delicious ribeye and fried chicken dinner to the jam-packed hall to the joyful mood, the evening was everything that we could have hoped. My deepest thanks to Dinner Auction committee who gave so much of their time and effort to host such a high-quality and professional gathering as well as to everyone who donated items for our auction and to all the people who were so generous in their bids J! For certain, the funds raised will be used to improve the quality of our facilities and our worship here at St. Joseph’s.

November: A Month to Remember the Dead

Beginning with the Solemnity of All Saints and followed immediately by the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls), the Church traditionally reserves the month of November to remember our deceased loved ones. For that reason, a list of all the members of St. Joseph’s who have passed away earlier this year will be included in the petitions at each of the weekend Masses and their names will be listed in the bulletin through the month. In your compassion, please take the time to pray for the repose of their souls.

Anointing Mass:

As we have done on a six-month basis, a Mass including the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be held on November 25th at the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Under the usual conditions, (significant illness, upcoming medical procedures, or the frailty of old age) any member of our parish who would like to receive the grace of this Anointing is welcome to attend. If you have any questions in this regard, please contact Fr. Don at the rectory or after one of the weekend Masses.

Have a blessed week!
