A big thanks is in order for the PCD families who organized and hosted two big successful events for the benefit of our parish this month. The Daddy-Daughter Dance was held on February 2nd and filled our hall with wall-to-wall parents and children. Just this past weekend, the second annual St. Joseph’s Trivia night was held, bringing over 130 people through our doors for an evening of relaxed fun and food and drinks. Both evenings were hosted with warmth and enthusiasm and made me proud to be a part of such a wonderful parish.

Equally important, though, a similar heartfelt gratitude has to go to all of those who supported these events and participated in them. As I’ve noticed over the past several years, the best initiatives in the world for parish camaraderie and support don’t mean a thing if people aren’t willing to involve themselves in the events offered. So, once again, my deepest thanks to the PCD families and everyone who contributed to the success of those events in any wayJ.

Finally, our annual season of Lent is quickly approaching – Ash Wednesday is just a little over 10 days away! Rather than get caught flat-footed in terms of figuring out what you’re going to do or sacrifice during Lent’s forty-day span, now might be a good time to decide how you’re going to use that time well…

Have a blessed week!
