From Fr. Tom,
The Third week of Advent is traditionally called “Gaudete Sunday.” Gaudete is the imperative form of the Latin verb, “gaudeo” which means to rejoice. Whenever there is a “te” at the end of a Latin verb, it means that it MUST be done, almost like a command. Okay, enough Latin instruction! The joyous words of Isaiah and the quiet patience of which James speaks paint a picture of a calmness, a peacefulness, and a satisfaction that cannot be bought for any price in any store or ordered on Amazon. God gives us this joy…with FREE DELIVERY even!! God bless St. Joseph.
