The study and research of ancestry nowadays is becoming more and more popular. It seems more people want to know where they came from and who their ancestors were. Around here, people usually know who their ancestors were and they can tell you about all their living relatives. There are those people, however, who don’t know anything about their heritage and have no idea about grandparents, cousins, etc… That’s one reason for the existence of family picture albums and regular family reunions. “You have your mother’s eyes” or something like “Yep… you got that from your father’s side of the family” are things said when certain family traits show up. Our personal “faith ancestry” is the same thing. What we will encounter and experience in the afterlife will be traced back to the way we practice our faith now. If we have a good faith life in the present, then the future will show that with eternal life. If we continue to prepare ourselves with prayer, worship, living a decent moral life, we will be admitted to the eternal banquet where the Master will serve and wait on us! God bless us all!
